I was 10 when Ninoy was shot. I didn’t know what the fuss was all about when the killing happened, but by the time the Agrava Fact-Finding Board had completed its report I was obsessed with Ninoy Aquino—his life and his death. (I did my 5th grade research paper on the Board’s findings. Was a sucker for underdogs even then ;) I’m not sure how I feel about Ninoy as a retail campaign, actually, but I guess anything that recognizes his heroism in life and death can’t be that bad. Ninoy, hindi ka nag-iisa.
