Strunk and White taught me to abhor imprecise, messy, self-indulgent writing (esp my own) and helped me understand that writing well requires at least as much (if not more) rigor and discipline as solving an algebra problem.
Terrie told me she saw a copy of this beautiful edition at FBHS, but when we asked for it they thought we were looking for a book about fashion or some such…
